To promote his pair of new albums, Prince will be taking the Saturday Night Live stage.

Prince will act as the musical guest for the Nov. 1 episode of the long-running comedy show. Chris Rock will be the host of the episode.

The rocker revealed the news with a post to his Facebook page, which featured juxtaposed images of Prince and band 3RDEYEGIRL alongside host Rock in a Prince costume.
Prince last appeared on the show as a musical guest in February 2006. At the time, it was the longest any musical guest had gone between appearances on the show, with his previous gig coming in February 1981. The record has since been broken by Elton John and Leon Russell.
