Rock royalty has taken to social media to pay tribute to Prince.
Members of the Rolling Stones and The Beatles led the fray to express their love and pain at the loss of the music icon.
Mick Jagger make posted three times:
I am so saddened to hear of Prince's passing. Prince was a revolutionary artist, a wonderful musician and composer. 1/3
