Several weeks before his death, Prince paid tribute to one of the few musicians who mirrored his ingenuity and charisma, David Bowie.

On March 25th, while on his Piano and a Microphone tour in Toronto, Prince included several covers into his setlist (Joni Mitchell‘s “A Case of You” and Bob Marley‘s “Waiting in Vain” to name a few). Bowie’s “Heroes” was certainly one of the more emotive.
You can watch some of the footage below taken from nosebleed seats. The audio is clear, as the audience was in near silence for the entirety of Prince’s performance.
