Prince has been keeping himself busy out there in Paisley Park.
The singer has already previewed a few songs off his new album, PLECTRUMELECTRUM, with his new band 3RDEYEGIRL. But this past weekend he revealed that he has a second new album in the works and a writer from The Star Tribune in Minneapolis was lucky enough to get a first listen.

According to the Tribune, Prince’s new, new album features a song called “The Gold Standard,” which is described as a “percolating electro-funk update of classic Prince.” There was a remix of “Funk ‘n’ Roll,” a song Prince performed with 3rdEyeGirl on Arsenio Hall back in March, along with an untitled collaboration with Rita Ora which features rapping. Prince said when you record with Ora, “time is money” since she could make money “walking out of the house wearing a certain kind of makeup or sunglasses.”
The best news is about the track, “This Could Be Us,” which was reportedly inspired by a meme of him from Purple Rain where he’s seen riding on a motorcycle with Apollonia.
